Stalosan F was invented in Denmark by a Danish veterinarian in back in 1964 and was the first powder product for animal housing in the world.
The idea behind the product was to provide a powerful disinfection product that can be used while the animals were present in the barn, during the production cycle.

Stalosan F is based on high levels of active ingredients, this is very different from most other powder products!
Stalosan F is made from natural, safe ingredients and is safe for use in both commercial and domestic animal housing, transport and litter situations including Cattle, horses, sheep, pigs, poultry and pets.
Most powder products or historical methods used are typically based on limestone or calcium carbonate which is without any biocidal effects and has a high pH-value. The high pH increases the concentration of free ammonia that will compromise the resistance of animal skin, creates poor living conditions and poor working environments.
These limestone products also have no or low percentage of active ingredients and a large number of inactive carriers.
